Pine Creek Church Leadership

Pine Creek Church follows the New Testament example of two leadership positions, elders and deacons, both under the headship of Jesus Christ (Col 1:17-18).

A plurality of elders (pastors) share equally the responsibility and authority to undershepherd, adminster, and oversee all affairs of this church.  Though their gifts and responsibilities may differ, they function as a team that cares for God's flock.

Deacons primarily act as ministers of mercy to the church, both corporately and individually.  They too are servants of the church but not authoritative overseers as are the elders.  They work with the elders to meet the needs of the church in practical ways both spiritual and physical in nature.

Elders and deacons are to be men called of God who are qualified according to Biblical standards (1 Tim. 3:1-13; Tit. 1:6-9; 1 Pet. 5:2-3) and have accepted the Pine Creek Church Statement of Faith. Each serves as long as he remains Biblically qualified, available, and desires.
